17 Weeks Now...

Life is beginning to become more bearable, with the morning sickness episodes few and far between and my appetite and ability to eat more picking up.  Good thing too, because it's time for baby to start packing on the padding.  The excitement of the pregnancy is picking up with me being able to feel baby moving around more and more each day.  The movements are still pretty light, but definitely noticeable and sometimes I even get a strong poke, that startles me. But, I love it though, feeling my little sweetie always brings a smile to my face and giggle to my heart.  In one week, I'll know the gender of my baby, can't wait!!

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
